The new Pokémon TCG expansion Sword & Shield: Battle Styles introduces the new game mechanic Battle Styles based on the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield video games!

 Battle Styles include Single Strike Style, attacks that can knock out an opponent with one blow, and Rapid Strike Style, which can perform unexpected attacks. Each Pokémon can have a Battle Style. For example, Single Strike and Rapid Strike cards are available as Trainer and Energy cards, and players can create a Single Strike or Rapid Strike deck.

 This expansion already includes several Battle Style cards such as Single Strike Urshifu V, Rapid Strike Urshifu V, Single Strike Tyranitar V, and Rapid Strike Empoleon V. Single Strike Urshifu VMAX and Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX also come in their Gigantamax form, known from the expansion The Isle of Armor for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.
 A booster contains 10 cards. A booster box contains 36 boosters.
